The 2,500-acre Shenandoah Industrial and Business Park, located at I-85 and GA 34 near Newnan, is one of the largest and finest in metropolitan Atlanta. Other international firms located in Coweta include Yokogawa Corporation of America, Kawasaki Loaders Manufacturing Corp., Grenzebach and Bleyle of America. KMart and Eckerd Drugs. Newnan is known for its fine homes, including a number of ante-bellum residences. The city annually celebrates its heritage with a tour of homes. Several areas in Coweta County have been listed as historic districts on the National Register of Historic Places. Coweta has over 860 sites in the National Register of Historic Places.

An outstanding school system keeps pace with the county’s expanding population. Two hospitals with a large number of specialty physicians on staff make Newnan the health care center for Coweta and some surrounding counties.
